2006: Steve DeMocker filed for divorce. He withdrew the petition weeks later.
March 2007: Carol Kennedy filed for divorce.
Late May 2008: Steve DeMocker and Carol Kennedy's divorce was finalized.
Late June 2008: Steve and Carol saw their daughter off for a summer abroad and Steve brought up the possibility of a reconciliation. Carol turned him down.
July 1, 2008: Steve failed to pay alimony, claiming Carol owed him money.
June 2, 2008: Carol was found dead at her home.
