June 27, 2017: Lake Worth Beach, Florida
Thirty-one-year-old Euri Jenkins approached his friend Dametri Dale about his desire to hire someone to kill his wife, 33-year-old Makeva Jenkins.
Dametri left but returned later that night with his friend, 19-year-old Joevan Joseph, and a murder plan was formed.
June 28, 2017
Daytime: while Makeva was away working with a client, Dametri Dale and Joevan Joseph went to Euri Jenkins’s house and Jovean was given a gun according to Dametri.
9 pm: Makeva Jenkins went to bed.
10:37 pm: Dametri’s car ran out of gas in a drive thru. His passenger, Joevan, got out to push. This was caught on CCTV putting the two men together.
June 29
Shortly before 2am: Makeva’s brother Quay Greer drove to the 711 to purchase items. While he was gone, Dametri and Joevan arrived at the house.
2 am: Quay returned home and Euri insisted on cutting his hair. In the middle of the haircut, Joevan entered the garage in a mask and ordered the men inside at gunpoint.
2:17am: Quay called 911 to report someone had shot his sister in the head.
3:15 am: Joevan Joseph arrived at a hospital 30 minutes away in an attempt to establish an alibi.
September 2017
Joevan Joseph was arrested and charged with first degree murder.
December 2017
Euri Jenkins was arrested and charged with first degree murder.
July 2019
Joevan Joseph pleaded guilty to second degree murder in a plea deal.
January 2020
Euri Jenkins’s trial was canceled during jury selection when several prospective jurors overheard Makeva’s family member saying Euri was guilty.
February 2020
An arrest warrant was issued for Dametri Dale on suspicion of first degree murder. He was arrested by US Marshalls in North Carolina.
April 2020
Euri Jenkins’s second trial was canceled due to COVID 19 shutdowns.
May 2022
Euri Jenkins’s trial was held with Dametri Dale and Joevan Joseph testifying against him. He was convicted of first degree murder.

Euri Jenkins was sentenced to life in prison as the mastermind of the murder for hire plot.
Joevan Joseph was sentenced to 15 years in prison as the shooter.
Dametri Dale was sentenced to 15 years of probation for his role in connecting the two men.
