My thoughts:

I have been friends with Josh Hallmark from the days of his original podcasts, Our Americana and The Karen and Ellen Letters. I cheered him on as he dove deeper into the Israel Keyes case. Then I saw first hand the toll it took on him.

Josh became an encyclopedia of facts. He had a mental timeline and map running through his brain at all times. And he started having nightmares.

The good news is that Josh has been able to take care of himself and his mental health as he continues his investigation into Keyes and possible victims. I felt fortunate he allowed me to join him for even a small part of the work to see close up what he does and why he does it.
